Taronga Zoo
The project involves a strategy to provide a cohesive aesthetic for all of Taronga Zoo’s toilets. This is achieved through the Amenities Design Guide. This document addresses issues of ‘branding’ and image for the Zoo as well as outlining graphic
standards and finishes and fittings schedules.
The Upgrade of the Top Entry Heritage Toilets and ‘Backyard to Bush’ Toilet are the first projects to be executed using the guide. BCA and Access compliance is addressed in each case while implementing the strategies of the Design Guide.
A key component of Design Guide is a new graphic overlay to unify the disparate toilet blocks. This has been developed in association with Scott Baker, Graphic Design.
