Lennox Head Community Centre
lahznimmo architects with Geolink through an Expression of Interest process were short listed for a paid competition for a Community Centre at Lennox Head, a small coastal township in northern NSW. The identity of the township is defined and dominated by the Lennox Head Headland. LNA’s proposal sought to create an iconic building, which would be synonymous with the township.
The building form uses the iconic Headland form as a starting point for the design. The roof form of the building is modulated to respond to the different activities below creating a strong silhouette reminiscent of the Headland.
