UNSW Main Library

Following on from the success of the refurbishment works at the Biomedical Library at UNSW, where three levels of a dreary 1960s building were dramatically transformed, Lahz Nimmo were engaged to develop a preliminary Master Plan strategy and staging of refurbishment works at the Main Library on campus. This commission initially involved a modest scope of work for Stage One Refurbishment works to the ground floor public circulation areas. This was followed by more substantial Stage Two, Three and Four works to the balance of the ground floor circulation areas as well as the creation of a large student lounge and postgraduate faculty with computer workstations, casual furniture and group study rooms. LNA were subsequently commissioned to develop a full Master plan for the Library.
