Stanhope Gardens Amenities
This amenities building forms part of the masterplan for a large public amenities programme at Stanhope Gardens for Blacktown Council which includes playing fields, playgrounds, ball courts and landscaped open space. lahznimmo architects were engaged by Landscape Architects Oculus on behalf of Mirvac who are developing the Stanhope Gardens area.
The building is defined as 2 robust masonry containers on one platform covered by a single lightweight steel roof, the structure of which responds to the geometry of the path and playing field. The steel roof is elevated above the masonry walls to provide natural light and ventilation.
