Jake graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Newcastle in 2018 and has been professionally engaged in a broad range of projects since, ranging from master planning to detailed construction documentation.
Prior to joining lahznimmo architects, Jake worked for practices specialising in education and high-end residential, showcasing his expertise and attention to detail. Notable projects include St. Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm with SHAC (2020 AIA Newcastle Education Award) and New Castle with Anthony St John Parsons (2025 AIA Newcastle Medallion, AIA NSW Wilkinson Award For Residential Architecture – Houses New, and AIA National Award for Residential Architecture – Houses New).
Jake’s ethos in architecture is centred around people and their spatial experience. He believes in the power of creating sensitive and thoughtful environments for living, working, and learning. This philosophy has been a driving force behind his contributions to various projects.
Beyond his professional commitments, Jake has tutored at the University of Newcastle and volunteered for Sydney Open, Museums of History NSW, Healthabitat, and the Paul Pholeros Foundation. In 2020, Jake was awarded the prestigious Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship, researching markets and public spaces across Central Europe.
