Jake graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Newcastle in 2018 and has been professionally engaged in a broad range of projects since, ranging from master planning to detailed construction documentation.

Prior to joining lahznimmo architects, Jake worked for leading education and high-end residential practices, crafting spaces that are both elegant and functional. Notable projects, such as St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisholm (2020 AIA Newcastle Education Award) and the acclaimed New Castle (2025 AIA Newcastle Medallion, Residential Architecture – Houses New Award, Interior Architecture Award) showcase his expertise and attention to detail.

Jake’s ethos in architecture is centred around people and their spatial experience. He believes in the power of creating sensitive and thoughtful environments for living, working, and learning. This philosophy has been a driving force behind his contributions to various projects.

Beyond his professional commitments, Jake has tutored at the University of Newcastle and is an active volunteer for the Paul Pholeros Foundation, Sydney Open and Museums of History NSW. In 2020, Jake was awarded the prestigious Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship, researching markets and public spaces across Central Europe.
